Special Events Crew volunteers play an important role in assisting Hilltop staff in setting up, taking down and other vital functions. This volunteer position aligns with special events throughout the year such as Cupcakes for a Cause Fundraiser, Employee Recognition Banquet, Golf Tournament(s), Summer Picnic, BASH and Gala, Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Holiday Party.  Shifts are flexible and will vary depending on the special event.

Basic Requirements:

Successful completion of Non-Residential Background Check without CAPS and with or without MVR (depending on if you are driving as part of this role) and appropriate screenings for position. Completes program orientation and position specific training. Ability to function as part of a team. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 lbs. Dependable and responsible. Assist with Hilltop staff with set-up, event activities and clean-up. Flyer Distribution for Cupcakes for a Cause - Week of January 26-30

Hilltop partners with the Baker's Boutique to sell cupcakes.  These delicious desserts are baked with love and beautifully boxed.  All proceeds support Hilltop programs.  

Volunteer Needs

Volunteers are needed for the following

Distribute Cupcakes for a Cause flyers to businesses on downtown Main Street.Volunteers who would like to help with this project will come to 359 Main Street during business hours (8am-5pm) during the week of January 26th-30th at a time that is convenient for them.They will collect a bundle of flyers from the front desk.  Please ask Paula or Tracey at the front desk for the flyers.  Please inform Paula or Tracey where you plan to start distributing flyersWalk Main Street, distributing flyers to downtown businesses, explaining the purpose of the fundraiser.  (We will provide a suggested script)When you are finished, return to 359 Main to share with the front desk which businesses portions of Main Street you distributed flyers to.  

Hilltop's Annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet is a special gathering created to honor the contributions of and longevity of employees and volunteers.  This year's gathering will be a throwback back to the 1950's, when Hilltop was founded. Volunteers are needed to support the event at the registration table and with the clean-up crew.

Successful completion of appropriate screenings Hilltop Non-Residential Criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TRAILS Child Abuse Registry Screening and Fingerprinting1-3 hours program orientation and position specific training. Strong computer data entry and organizational skills, customer service and clerical skills. Dependable and responsible. Ability to lift, push or pull 20lbs. Maintain client and family confidentiality. Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic. Good listening and communication skills. Completes and submits volunteer hours to position supervisor monthly.
