In this volunteer role, you will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator and in partnership with the Volunteer Services Department. The role assists our property services team with various basic facility maintenance tasks (i.e. patch & paint, drywall repair, etc.) moving furniture and organizing tools. Your thorough attention to detail and commitment to preserving the safety, aesthetics, and maintenance of Hilltop facilities are invaluable to our staff, residents, and guests.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings: Hilltop Residential Criminal Background Check without CAPS and MVR, TB Test, and Flu Shot
- Completes program orientation and position specific training: 2 Hours
- Minimum Age Requirement:18 years old.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain client and family confidentiality.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours to position supervisor monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Performance Responsibility:
- Assist with basic facility maintenance tasks (i.e. patch & paint, drywall repair, etc.) moving furniture and organizing tools.
- Time Commitment: flexible between 7:30am and 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
- Dress Code: Closed toe shoes, hats while outside
- Maintains open communication with other team members, reporting all concerns to supervisor.
- Notifies supervisor if not able to make scheduled shift.
Hilltop volunteers are required to undergo background checks, fulfill medical requirements and attend volunteer services and program orientation sessions.
