Basic Requirements:
· Completion of volunteer application and interview.
· Successful completion of appropriate screenings including Hilltop Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TB test, annual flu shot.
· Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately two hours)
· Minimum age requirement of 16
· Ability to lift, push or pull 20 lbs.
· Must wear name badge
· Positive attitude.
· Dependable and responsible.
· Maintain resident and family confidentiality.
· Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
· Good listening and communication skills.
· Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
· Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Performance Responsibility:
- Performance Delivery: Offer performances in your chosen art form (music, dance, theater, etc.) for residents at the Fountains. Tailor your performances to the interests and preferences of the residents, creating an engaging and enjoyable experience.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Collaborate with the Life Enrichment team to schedule your performances, ensuring they align with the facility’s activity calendar and resident availability. Provide a minimum of one hour of service per month, with flexibility to adjust based on the facility’s needs and your availability.
- Equipment and Setup: Provide all necessary equipment and materials for your performance. This includes any musical instruments (except a piano), costumes, or props required for your act. If specific technical equipment is needed that is not available at the Fountains, coordinate with the Life Enrichment Supervisor to arrange for its provision.
- Engagement and Interaction: Engage with residents before, during, and after your performance to foster a sense of community and connection. Be open to feedback and adjust your performance to enhance the experience for the residents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Life Enrichment Supervisor to ensure your performance aligns with the facility’s programming goals and resident preferences. Participate in any necessary meetings or discussions to plan and refine your performance schedule and setup.
- Dress code: casual and appropriate for position responsibilities.
- Maintains open communication with other team members, reporting all concerns to supervisor
- Notifies supervisor if not able to make scheduled shift.
