We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable volunteer to assist with our Easter Egg Hunt at Senior Life Communities of Hilltop. This special event is designed to engage residents, employees, and their families in a fun and festive celebration. As a volunteer, you will help with the event setup, support the execution of activities, and assist with the cleanup, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of Hilltop Residential Criminal Background Check without CAPS or MVR, TB test, and annual flu shot.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately four hours)
- Must be a minimum age of 18
- Ability to lift, push or pull 20 lbs.
- Must wear name badge
- Positive attitude.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain resident and family confidentiality.
- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Setup: Assist with setting up the event area, including hiding Easter eggs (both plastic and any special themed items) in designated locations, arranging decorations, and preparing any necessary supplies or stations for the event.
- Engagement and Support: Help guide residents, employees, and their families through the Easter Egg Hunt, ensuring everyone knows where to go and how to participate. Encourage a lively and inclusive atmosphere that promotes social interaction and fun.
- Assist with Activities: Provide support during the event by helping participants with finding eggs, distributing prizes, and ensuring all guests are having a positive experience. Encourage residents and families to participate in the hunt and other event-related activities.
- Monitor the Event: Ensure that the event runs smoothly, offering assistance where needed to participants and staff. Help maintain a safe environment and ensure everyone is participating in a respectful and fair manner.
- Cleanup: After the event, assist with cleaning up the area, gathering remaining eggs, cleaning up decorations, and packing away any materials for future use.
- Provide Support: Offer assistance to residents who may need extra help during the event, ensuring they can fully enjoy the activity.
- Create a Welcoming Atmosphere: Provide a friendly and engaging presence to residents, families, and staff, promoting a sense of community and togetherness.
Event Schedule:
Setup- 10am - 12pm
Event at the Commons - 12pm-1:30
Event at the Fountains - 2pm-3:30
Clean up after the Event
