Can you commit to driving individuals and small groups to local businesses so that residents of Connections can run errands one day a month? Would you like to be part of a movement aimed at reducing homelessness in Mesa County? If you answered yes, consider sharing your time, talent and heart to positively impact the lives of residents at Pathway Village.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings (Hilltop Non-residential Criminal background check without CAPS and with MVR, TRAILS Child Abuse Registry screening, and finger printing).
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (program orientation (1hour) and Hilltop Drivers Course (4 hours)).
- Proficiency in driving and navigation.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, responsible, and consistent.
- Maintain client and family confidentiality.
- Minimum age requirement: 21.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Performance Responsibility:
- Provide transportation for Pathways Village residents to and from local businesses so that residents of Connections can run errands at a set, pre-determined time.
- Expected time commitment will be approximately 4 hours monthly.
- Dress code: casual and appropriate for position responsibilities.
- Maintains open communication with other team members, reporting all concerns to supervisor.
- Notifies supervisor if not able to make scheduled shift.
