Join us in creating joyful and engaging experiences for residents of The Commons of Hilltop, an assisted living community within Hilltop Community Resources. As a Cocktail Party Assistant, you’ll help host our monthly cocktail party—a cherished social event designed to encourage community, conversation, and celebration.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings including Hilltop Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TB test, and annual flu shot.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately two hours)
- Minimum age requirement of 21
- Ability to lift, push or pull 25 lbs
- Must wear name badge Positive attitude.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain resident and family confidentiality.
- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist staff in setting up the cocktail party area (tables, decorations, drink station)
- Greet and socialize with residents, helping them feel welcomed and included
- Serve non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages (must be 21+ to handle alcohol) and light hors d’oeuvres
- Engage residents in conversation and encourage participation in activities or live entertainment
- Support clean-up efforts following the event
- Follow all safety and health protocols, including mobility assistance and allergy awareness
Cocktail parties at the Commons are scheduled for the last Wednesday of every month.
