Celebrate the 4th of July with our residents at the Commons. Volunteers will assist our Life Enrichment Staff with various activities including crafts, outdoor games and carnival style games.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings including Hilltop Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TB test, and annual flu shot.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately two hours)
- Minimum age requirement of 16
- Ability to lift, push or pull 25 lbs
- Must wear name badge Positive attitude.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain resident and family confidentiality.
- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Setup: Assist with setting up the event area, included arranging decorations, and preparing any necessary supplies or stations for the event.
- Engagement and Support: Help guide residents through the event, ensuring everyone knows where to go and how to participate. Encourage a lively and inclusive atmosphere that promotes social interaction and fun.
- Assist with Activities: Provide support during the event by helping residents participate in the activities.
- Monitor the Event: Ensure that the event runs smoothly, offering assistance where needed to participants and staff. Help maintain a safe environment and ensure everyone is participating in a respectful and fair manner.
- Cleanup: After the event, assist with cleaning up the area
- Provide Support: Offer assistance to residents who may need extra help during the event, ensuring they can fully enjoy the activity.
- Create a Welcoming Atmosphere: Provide a friendly and engaging presence to residents, families, and staff, promoting a sense of community and togetherness.
