Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings including Hilltop Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TB test, and annual flu shot.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately four hours)
- Minimum age requirement of 21.
- Ability to lift, push or pull 25 lbs.
- Must wear Hilltop volunteer name badge.
- Positive attitude.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain resident and family confidentiality.
- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist staff in setting up for the event and cleaning up after the event. This includes arranging chairs and tables, decorating, setting-up wine and cheese tasting stations, cleaning up, etc
- Greet and socialize with residents, helping them feel welcomed and included
- Assist with serving beverages and snacks
- Engage residents in conversation and encourage participation in activities or entertainment
- Support clean-up efforts following the event
- Follow all safety and health protocols, including mobility assistance and allergy awareness
