Are you a team player with an eye for detail? If so, consider volunteering with our Special Events Crew. Special Events Crew volunteers play an important role in assisting Hilltop staff in setting up, taking down and other vital functions. This volunteer position aligns with special events throughout the year such as Cupcakes for a Cause Fundraiser, Employee Recognition Banquet, Golf Tournament(s), Summer Picnic, BASH and Gala, Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Holiday Party. Shifts are flexible and will vary depending on the special event.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of Non-Residential Background Check without CAPS and with or without MVR (depending on if you are driving as part of this role) and appropriate screenings for position.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training.
- Ability to function as part of a team. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 lbs.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
- Must be at least 12 years of age with parent or age 16 to volunteer independently.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours after each event.
Performance Responsibility:
- Assist with Hilltop staff with set-up, event activities and clean-up. Event activities include but are not limited to welcoming customers, ensuring accuracy of orders, distributing cupcake orders, troubleshooting as needed.
- Dress Code: Comfortable clothes and shoes. This indoor event will take place in the front lobby.
- Maintains open communication with other team members, reporting all concerns to supervisor.
- Various shifts available on 2/13 and 2/14.
- Notifies supervisor if not able to make scheduled event shift.

Cupcakes for a Cause on February 13 and 14, 2026
Hilltop partners with the Baker's Boutique to sell cupcakes. These delicious desserts are baked with love and beautifully boxed. All proceeds support Hilltop programs.
Volunteer Needs
Volunteers are needed for the following
- 16 volunteers are needed for Cupcake distribution at Hilltop on Main St. (359 Main St, Grand Junction, CO 81501)
- Volunteers will assist Hilltop staff with the distribution of cupcake orders on Friday, February 13th and Saturday, February 14th at Hilltop on Main St (359 Main St, Grand Junction, CO 81501).
- Tasks may include setting up, welcoming customers, ensuring accuracy of cupcake orders, distribution of orders, cleaning up and other tasks as needed.
- Volunteers will sign up for 2 hour shifts as listed below.
- Shifts are between 9am and 7pm on Friday, February 13th and 9am - 2pm on Saturday, February 14th.
