Are you a team player with an eye for detail? If so, consider volunteering with our Special Events Crew. Special Events Crew volunteers play an important role in assisting Hilltop staff in setting up, taking down and other vital functions. This volunteer position aligns with special events throughout the year such as Cupcakes for a Cause Fundraiser, Employee Recognition Banquet, Golf Tournament(s), Summer Picnic, BASH and Gala, Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Holiday Party. Shifts are flexible and will vary depending on the special event.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of Non-Residential Background Check without CAPS and with MVR.
- Valid CO Driver License.
- Proof of Current Auto Insurance.
- Hilltop Driver Training.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training.
- Ability to function as part of a team. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 lbs.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
- Must be at least 12 years of age with parent or age 16 to volunteer independently.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours after each event.
Performance Responsibility:
- Pick up Hilltop keys and van at 8:00am and record mileage.
- Pick up cupcake order at Baker's Boutique at 8:30am.
- Transport Cupcake order to Hilltop-Montrose.
- Return Van to Hilltop and record mileage.
- Dress Code: Comfortable clothes and shoes.
- Maintains open communication with other team members, reporting all concerns to supervisor.
- Notifies supervisor if not able to make scheduled event shift.

Cupcakes for a Cause on February 13 and 14, 2026
Hilltop partners with the Baker's Boutique to sell cupcakes. These delicious desserts are baked with love and beautifully boxed. All proceeds support Hilltop programs.
Volunteer Needs
Volunteers are needed for the following
- 1 volunteer is needed to transport cupcakes from Baker's Boutique (Grand Junction) to Hilltop's Montrose Office on Friday February 13th.
- Volunteer will pick up Hilltop van at 359 Main Street at 8:00am and record mileage. Van keys can be picked up from the receptionist.
- Volunteer will pick up a large order of cupcakes at Baker's Boutique (449 Main St, Grand Junction, CO 81501) at 8:30am on Friday, February 13th
- Volunteer will deliver cupcake order to Hilltop's Montrose Office (540 S 1st St, Montrose, CO 81401).
- Volunteer will return the Hilltop van to 359 Main Street at approximately 12pm, record mileage and return the keys to receptionist.
