Purpose of Position: Love working with data and making systems run better? As a Development Data Support Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping Hilltop’s donor records accurate, organized, and ready for meaningful outreach. This role supports the heart of our fundraising efforts by entering and updating donor information, cleaning up records, preparing mailing lists, and assisting with basic reports and data reviews. Your attention to detail helps ensure every gift is properly recorded; every supporter is acknowledged, and every communication reaches the right person. It’s a focused, impactful opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys working with systems, values precision, and wants to support mission-driven work from behind the scenes.
Basic Requirements
• Completion of volunteer application and interview.
• Successful completion of appropriate screenings Hilltop Non-Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, Trails Child Abuse Registry Screening, and Fingerprinting through Colorado Fingerprinting
• Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately 2 hours)
• Must wear name badge
• Dependable and responsible.
• Maintain participant and donor confidentiality
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
• Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Performance Responsibility:
• Enter new donations, pledges, and soft credits (as assigned)
• Update donors contact information (emails, addresses, phone numbers)
• Merge duplicate records and flag data issues for review
• Upload or organize supporting documents (letters, forms, contact notes)
• Help run basic reports (gift lists, event attendance, mailing lists)
• Assist with preparing donor mailing lists and segmentation for outreach
• Check returned mail updates and help correct records
• Help with HCTC submissions • Cross-referencing incoming data from integrations (Classy Platform)
