On May 20, 2026, Mesa County Elections are coming to the Life Adjustment Program to assist residents with participating in our democratic process and casting their vote. Volunteers are being requested to assist with this event.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings which include a Hilltop Residential Criminal Background Check without CAPS or MVR, TB test and flu shot.
- Successful completion of program orientation and position specific training totaling 4 hours.
- Volunteer should possess strong interpersonal skills and open mindedness
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain client and family confidentiality.
- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours to position supervisor monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities
The event is scheduled from 8:30am - 4:30pm with a lunch break from 12pm-1pm. Volunteers who express interest can choose between an 8:30am - 12pm shift or a 1pm-4:30pm shift.
- Assist the Activities team with
- Queuing the residents who are participating
- Administrative tasks upon request
- Supporting the Mesa County Election Officials in attendance
- It should be noted that volunteers will not be permitted to express their personally held political beliefs. This boundary will be strictly enforced.
