Position Summary
The Development Operations Volunteer supports the Development team through donor stewardship, administrative support, and workflow organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and helping behind the scenes to keep projects moving smoothly. Think of this opportunity as being the “designated hitter” of the team, stepping in where needed to support fundraising efforts, events, communications, and daily operations
Basic Requirements
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings Hilltop Non-Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, Trails Child Abuse Registry Screening, and Fingerprinting through Colorado Fingerprinting
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately 2 hours)
- Must wear name badge
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain participant and donor confidentiality
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary based on current projects and organizational needs, but can include:
- Writing handwritten thank-you notes to donors and supporters
- Assisting with donor stewardship and relationship-building efforts
- Preparing materials, props, or gifts for fundraising and appreciation events
- Scanning, organizing, and filing documents
- Cleaning up and organizing donor or administrative data
- Making phone calls or follow-up outreach as needed
- Drafting communication templates and internal documents
- Brainstorming and organizing workflows to improve efficiency and consistency
- Supporting special projects and miscellaneous administrative tasks
