Position Summary
Friday Afternoon Club Volunteers help create a welcoming, cheerful, and engaging social experience for residents at The Commons of Hilltop. Held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, Friday Afternoon Club features fun and creative themed gatherings that often include snacks, treats, or interactive food stations. Volunteers play an important role in helping residents feel included, supported, and connected while ensuring activities run smoothly and enjoyably.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings including Hilltop Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TB test, and annual flu shot.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately two hours)
- Minimum age requirement of 16
- Ability to lift, push or pull 25 lbs
- Must wear name badge Positive attitude.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Maintain resident and family confidentiality.
- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilitie
- Greeting and welcoming residents to the event
- Assisting residents in getting to and from the activity space
- Helping set up and serve food, drinks, or themed treats
- Engaging residents in conversation and encouraging participation
- Offering social support and companionship during activities
- Assisting staff with games, crafts, or activity stations as needed
- Helping with light clean-up after the event
