Would you like to be part of a movement aimed at reducing homelessness in Mesa County? Use your creativity, knowledge and subject matter expertise to organize, facilitate or lead engaging, meaningful and fun activities and/or special events for Pathways Village residents. Topics or activities may include arts and crafts, budgeting, self-care, journaling, resume writing, creative writing, book club, or music. Ages and group size may vary.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings (Hilltop Non-Residential Criminal Background check without CAPS or MVR, TRAILS Child Abuse Registry screening, and finger printing)
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (One hour program orientation)
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Strong leadership, public speaking, and adaptability skills
- Dependable, responsible, and consistent.
- Maintain client and family confidentiality.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 or 14 with adult supervision
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
Performance Responsibility:
- Lead a social activity or workshop for Pathways residents such as crafts, mental health, exercise, budgeting etc
- Engage residents in activity or workshop
- Maintain a clean and organized community environment
- Minimum 2 hours a month
- Dress code: casual and appropriate for position responsibilities.
- Maintains open communication with other team members, reporting all concerns to supervisor.
- Notifies supervisor if not able to make scheduled shift.
