Are you an excellent listener and great communicator with attention to detail? if so, this is an excellent volunteer opportunity for you. This position is a member of the Hilltop Volunteer Program and supports several programs within the Grand Junction Family Resource Center. Hours are typically Monday - Friday and may include evenings, if you wish.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings Hilltop Non-Residential Criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TRAILS Child Abuse Registry Screening and Fingerprinting
- 1-3 hours program orientation and position specific training.
- Strong computer data entry and organizational skills, customer service and clerical skills.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Ability to lift, push or pull 20lbs.
- Maintain client and family confidentiality.
- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours to position supervisor monthly.
- Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and Code of Conduct.
