The Morning Activities Ambassador supports the Life Enrichment team in organizing and facilitating daily activities for residents at the Fountains of Hilltop. This role involves assisting with a variety of planned activities, including crafts, games, music, and social events, and may also include the opportunity to independently plan and lead activities based on your interests and skills. The volunteer will help enhance the residents' quality of life by contributing to a vibrant and engaging environment.
Basic Requirements
- Completion of volunteer application and interview.
- Successful completion of appropriate screenings including Hilltop Residential criminal background check without CAPS or MVR, TB test, and annual flu shot.
- Completes program orientation and position specific training. (Approximately two hours)
- Minimum age requirement of 16
- Ability to lift, push or pull 20 lbs.
- Must wear name badge

- Ability to be nonjudgmental and empathetic.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Completes and submits volunteer hours monthly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Activity Assistance: Support the Life Enrichment team with daily activities by setting up materials, guiding residents in participation, and ensuring that activities run smoothly.
- Resident Interaction: Engage with residents during activities to encourage participation, provide companionship, and address individual needs or preferences.
- Activity Facilitation: Take initiative to design, plan, and lead activities independently that align with residents' interests and facility goals. This may include organizing events, leading discussion groups, or conducting skill-based sessions.
- Preparation and Cleanup: Assist with the preparation and cleanup of activity spaces, ensuring that all materials are organized and facilities are left in good condition.
- Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from residents regarding activities to help improve future programs and report any suggestions or concerns to the Life Enrichment Coordinator/Manager.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with residents and facility staff to ensure that activities are tailored to meet the residents' needs and interests.
